It was on the Look North local news and Granada reports last night that workmen uncovered a phosphorous bottle yesterday in Bamber Bridge, Preston; it went off, and two of them suffeered blistering on their arms and hands and twelve other people were treated for inhallation of the fumes. It was a Home Guard phosphorous bottle, and the army bomb disposal came in, removed another ten or so and blew them up! Home Guard; don't know not' about the Bamber Bridge Home Guard except that's where the US Negro solders mutinied and rioted at Adams Hall Camp in 1943.So, there you go...
