NYMR seems to be the one all waiting for to attend, looks like a good turn out on paper so far with around 14 due for the parade. Thought this may have a question mark over it but after contacting the new organiser it seems only a couple of hundred yards shorter so worthy of our haul from Goathland. the route still starts at the Jnr. school with an eyes right at the Memorial hall where Keith is in attendence, UP market street with eyes right again at saluting base, dismiss in Hall Garth off Smiddy hill [the narrow bit]. A warm up for us will be from 10 am.Parade order, rifle, belt, bayonet, respirator, no helmet.
Scenario's are on the Saturday AMMO TRAIN in the pm, KIDS DRILL,NUN ON.THE RUN and on Sunday AIR RAID, AMMO TRAIN and others if we can fit them in. Alister the guard wants to help out with the pyro for the train.
Accomodation is all booked up, Meal in the local Friday with a drink down in Beck Hole, Saturday eve in the village hall [buffet meal if early enough] Breakfast sarni Sat. morning, 3 item English on Sun.[cost is still £1 per meal]

KICK OFF TIME FOR THE PARADE IS 10.47 TRY TO MAKE IT CLOSE TO 10 FOR WARM UP AS SOME OF OUR MARCHERS MAY NEED IT.

    Hi all,
Probably the one of the best NYMR events i've done. All went like clockwork [unlike the railway] The NYMR only provide the stunning location it's us and other reenacters that make the event what it is, our team all played their individual parts absolutley spivvingly, from the guy's on the gate through the new promotions and the enthusiasm from our guests to the girls in camp keeping that kettle on [not forgeting H's scones] all with no question or moaning, brilliant. As well as doing seven different scenario's the finale was well worth it with our best demo by the Northover ever [watch this space].John the station master was well pleased, cementing our relationship even more for the future, and the station staff could'nt have been more helpful. Ponte. lot give youselves a well earned pat on the back. [hope that was not too patronising? but when there's many numbers on camp to control it's good to know we know what were doing.]
By the way there's a request for a debrief at the station probably in the spring, so any one want to attend or have comments past/future let me know.
